Gesamteindruck Azoren/Ponta Delgada/Bootsübergabe
Bootsübergabe: Sehr kompetentes Personal, Bootsübergabe sehr gründlich, aber nicht pingelig. Die Übergabe dauerte gut eine Stunde, es wurde jede Frage beantwortet. Die Boote sind, trotz Saisonende, in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die Bootsrückgabe war auch wieder gründlich, jedoch wurden nur auf wichtige Punkte Wert gelegt.
Ponta Delgada ist als Ausgangspunkt für die Azoren nur bedingt geeignet, da es bis zur ersten Insel im Norden knapp 90 sm sind, besser ist da Horta. Der Hafen ist gut geschützt, die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind sehr gut und preiswert.
Die Azoren sind ein wunderbares Segelgebiet, vielleich nicht gerade für Anfänger geeignet. Wir hatte allerdings laut Vercharterer die schlechteste Woche der Saison mit sehr viel Wind (meist 30-40kn, Böen bis zu 50 kn und bei der Überfahrt 4-5 m Welle)allerdings meist unter Segel.
