Puglia land of conquest and domination. Castles, masterpieces of architecture, such as Castel del Monte, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the many towers that trace the coastline to the south. And more, palaces, villages and squares, symbols of power, places of civilized life. In the cities and in the smaller towns, you can find the magnificent historic buildings, an expression of the artistic currents of Renaissance and Baroque, which today are important containers used to house libraries, museums and art galleries. The seaside town of their charms reveals hidden alleys and palaces, where nightlife, cultural events and the magic of art and taste of food, form the backdrop to one of the most beautiful and cleanest seas in Italy. Marinas, docks and moorings allow you to enjoy your holiday on board of comfortable boats. Unforgettable Tremiti Islands, a microcosm which is compact but very different, enclosed on three islands, where the landscapes of sea and land provide a true immersion in nature.
Discover the Tremiti Islands
Tremiti Islands, the only archipelago of Adriatico, consist of five islands (San Domino, the most famous island, San Nicola, Capraia, Cretaccio, Pianosa), and reefs of very modest size. It is located in the Adriatico Sea, twelve miles off the northern coast of Gargano. The archipelago is a little piece of paradise, where the clarity of the sea, colorful and clean bottoms, pleasant climate, clean air, lush vegetation, unspoilt coastline open to beautiful bays and coves, create zones of an ethereal beauty which no lover of the sea and nature should resist. Although small in extent, Tremiti Islands offer an amazing collection of environmental situations, that you would expect to find in an area of much larger size. In about 20 km of coast the most significant morphologies are represented: low coasts with sandy beaches, bays and capes, rocky coastline with high cliffs overlooking the sea.
